Her latest book Prefabulous & Sustainable: Building and Customizing an Affordable, Energy-Efficient House (Abrams, 2010) with foreword by Robert Redford shows case studies and best practices on how a prefabricated house can be beautiful, affordable and green.
Koone’s 2008 book Prefabulous: the house of your dreams delivered fresh from the factory was awarded the National Association of Real Estate Editors Gold Book Award. Real estate columnist Robert Bruss said, “This book will open your eyes to show what can be done with prefab homes, which look like custom homes but cost a lot less. She has spoken at more than 30 national or regional events including the International Builders’ Show, the Women’s Council of Realtors, the national American Institute of Architects conference, West Coast Green, and the Residential Design and Construction Convention.
